Why I Built DailyAsk

Story time! Ever since I learned how to build apps, I’ve had this conviction:

“I must use this skill for the faithful.”

The struggle

Then I realized that a common struggle is prayer life. With how busy we are and how much we have going on in life, we forget to pray.

“And with so many apps already available, what could I possibly contribute? Something subtle that simply reminds the user to pray. Something that, the moment the user opens their phone, reminds them right away.”

So I built DailyAsk

DailyAsk is a tool designed for daily Catholic life. The app brings you the official liturgical Gospel reading (NABRE), paired with a unique, AI-generated reflection to help you start a prayer and reflection.

All you need to do is add the DailyAsk widget to your home screen. The reflection question will show up on your home screen and in your notifications.

That’s it

The very reason I built DailyAsk is to remind us to pause and take time to pray.

It helped me especially during the times when it was hard to pray, when Cacay was hospitalized. I hope it helps you too.

I know your days are busy and there’s so much to do. That’s why this is just a simple reminder.
