Why I Built Cenacle
"A sacred space for anyone to gather in prayer."
Story time! Remember my story about why I built DailyAsk? About my conviction?
“I must use my skills for the faithful.”
So I kept wondering what else I could build 🤔. This was in June. Then I remembered that the death anniversary of Lola Gleva was coming up.
I remembered 2020, during the pandemic, when we gathered online to pray a 9-day novena for Lola. And I was the one chosen to be the mananabtan (prayer leader) 🤣. It’s a core memory for me. Aside from being my first time leading a novena, it was an intimate moment. Even though not everyone was physically present, we felt their presence online.
So I built Cenacle
Cenacle is a sacred space for anyone to gather in prayer. It’s a video conferencing tool built specifically for prayer, whether it’s a novena, a rosary, 10,000 Hail Marys, and more. And in time, we hope to have a daily online Mass.
“Wait, don’t we already have Zoom or Google Meet?”
Well, I built Cenacle to be very user-friendly:
- No account needed for joiners. Only room creators need one.
- Creators: create and schedule a room, then share the link.
- Joiners: click the link and join the room.
Simple as that.
That’s it
The very reason I built Cenacle is that I want families, friends, communities, and any group of people to have a sacred platform to gather and pray, whether it’s a novena, a rosary, 10,000 Hail Marys, and more.
